Great holmertz 2016-07-02 2:45

Hello Andrew,
It's nice to see you posting again, although infrequently. You make up a very good story from this photo, and everything seems to fit perfectly. But did you see, and think, all this at that moment, or was it just another street-shot at random? The colours look slightly old, not quite as perfect as with a modern camera, but it's not disturbing and the quality of the composition is far more important. But maybe this could have been a case for a B&W conversion.
Kind regards,
Gert

Default To holmertz: Deliberate or random?

Greetings Gert, and many thanks for your always thoughtful comments.
In answer to your question, you might have noticed already that for many of my photos I have included some figures, or waited until some person moves into the scene. Usually, one doesn't have to wait long. Many photographers prefer to wait, sometimes quite a long time, until a scene is devoid of people, but I prefer the opposite in many instances.
Yes, I did think of making it b/w, but how could I not make the most of the wonderful red timber work on the old building?
Regards,
Andrew
