Default 'Discovery of India'- travel-buddies wanted

Hi

(I thought I would post my ad in the travel forum also
- already posted in the general forums.)

I am planning an India tour( probably in my car).
(dates are NOT finalized ) Wish to
cover wild life and hill stations. Forts,Temples and places of
cultural importance. I am interested in photography.
Movies, music and literature. I belong to the place Kerala.

I am looking for companions. I have some plans to
explore the ancient architecture of India. I have not yet
dropped my dream of backpacking for "Discovery of India"
Let's think of that too..

(Nothing yet fixed.. remains flexible.,
If everything goes well and if I get a good company
I shall write you about the new year celebrations
on top of some moutain in the midst of misty woods and
valleys. )

I'm often mesmerized by the saying "the
journey is the destination".

If anybody interested pls reply. Or you can refer
your good friends.

sanilps@yahoo.com

Thanks.
Sa.

ps: if anybody could recommend a good road map of south india
that w'd be great... I have tried many but not satisfied
with the details.

Try ttk's The Road Atlas of India. It is available in most good Book Shops in India. I'm in Delhi and know that its available here. My family has used it to plan and travel by road over long distances (~1500km) thrice, and innumerable times for shorter travels. We found it to be very good.
But its detail level is only upto small towns. It shows all National and State Highways, but not all of the minor (metalled) roads.
Check if its helpful enough
