Great macjake 2019-02-21 3:49

Hi MarieLouise
i didn't know Michelangelo lived such a short life, and a difficult life, I learned something new today. This is a museum in Rome which I clearly missed - now I wish I could go back and spend time here. Interesting pieces of artwork, great work, great paintings. Thanks for posting them in the WS, really makes it all come together. cheers
Craig

Thanks for your visit Craig.
This GALLERIA BORGHESE houses paintings and sculptures from the BAROQUE era, end of 16th and 17th century. Michelangelo da CARAVAGGIO (1571-1610) from the Milan region originally, was a PAINTER of that era.
The better known MICHELANGELO Buonarotti (1475-1564) from the Florence region originally, was a painter, SCULPTOR and architect of the RENAISSANCE era (15th-16th century)
All a bit complicated. Sorry ! There is so much to learn in Rome, it makes one's head dizzy. That's why I am still working on my photos from that trip 8 months later :-)
Kindest regards.
Marie-Louise.
