Beautiful! I like the undisturbed sand formation, great lighting and the shadows created depth. Wonderful colors with good saturation. Very well done, tfs.

I've been thinking about going to Death Valley this winter, how far is this from Furnace Creek? Which direction?

Hi, Death Valley is a great place to go in the winter months cause it is so much cooler. Mezquite Flats is very close to Stovepipe Wells. Like 10 min drive. From Furnace Creek I believe it is no more than 45 minutes. Stovepipe Wells has a camping ground, a gas station and a restaurant buffet, cheap and good food. All you can eat the breakfast it good.
People park along the highway at Mezquite Flats. I think there are 4 or 5 different dune fields in the park but all spread out all over. Hours apart. Mezquite is the most easily accessible.
Have fun and get along of good photos. Also the 20 mule canyon is pretty too. Geologic
