Great holmertz 2018-09-19 7:44

Hello John,
Ah, a gentleman in red trousers...;-). This scenery is indeed more attractive than the immediate surroundings of Olden. We see two quite different environments in one photo, from the nearest area looking like autumn to the retreating winter higher up. The persons on the road are nicely spread out to increase the effect of depth created by the road as such as it disappears among the trees. It is rather alarming that glaciers all over the world seem to be shrinking at increased speed. Malgo recently showed us a similar phenomenon in New Zealand. This photo has a wonderful clarity, in spite of the clouds covering the upper region.
Kind regards,
Gert
PS Just as I was about to post this critique I saw the very nice and colourful WS photo.

Default To holmertz: Workshops....and maps...

Hello Gert,

Thank you yet again for your warm words!

Yes, it is a little disconcerting that there appears to be no way in which one can delay posting a "main" picture before adding workshop images - quite often others who are "quick off the mark" do write a critique before they have had the opportunity of seeing the workshop(s).

Interestingly, now that I have come back (yet again) I appear to be having exactly the same problems as yourself with uploading coordinates - I normally use "Edge" as a browser and, whereas it worked fine before, I now find that if I put in coordinates they are completely rejected. Paragraph breaks also seem to disappear. But I have now found that if I go back to using Internet Explorer the whole thing seems to work fine - or, at least, for now. Just a thought - perhaps a different browser might also help in your case.

Kind Regards,

John.

Hello John,

My "ordinary" browser is Safari, but it gradually has become less compatible with TE (and also with film streaming sites), so now I only use Google Chrome for TE, which in most cases works well. But the problems of refused map coordinates, and the insertion of rnrn between the paragraphs still come and go without any predictable pattern. If I want to add a link to the note I have to do it afterwards, using the "edit" function, otherwise I can be certain that the paragraph breaks disappear. I can see in other members' notes that this happens to many.

To reduce the time gap between posting main pictures and WS photos I have started to write the notes in advance in a separate document so I can then just copy them quickly.

Best regards,

Gert
