  • How many TE members are going to get a chance to check out any World Cup games? I'm assuming we've got a lot of folks from Germany here on TE; what are your plans for the month that the World Cup is on? Planning on taking pictures?

Is anybody going to Germany this summer to take pics? I can't wait to see what people post.. Almost like our own TE photojournalism crew! I wish I had the chance to go!

    Cheers,

    Jas

Without a press pass it will be virtually impossible to get any decent action shots unfortunately. The crowd are generally a fair distance from the action at larger World Cup venues. I won't have a chance unfortunately, but it would be possible for one of us 'poor amateurs' to perhaps capture the feel of the competition off the pitch???

    Hi Jas

I don't really plan on going to Germany.
But I do plan to go to some pubs in Latin/Spanish/Portuguese quarters of Montreal to watch the games with my friends.

on June 9, I plan to go to the bar "La Petite Chicago" in Hull ... Other TE members from Ottawa-Hull region would be welcome to join my group over there.

have a good one bro ....
greetings from Ottawa .... cheers ... sarju

World Cup of Soccer my friend! It's the largest sporting event in the world. It'll be on from June 9 - July 9...

    Hey Sarju,

That sounds like a good plan. Where I live, soccer isn't that popular, and maybe one pub in town will play any games, and those will be on tiny screens with hardly anbody watching. Definitely not fun.

I'm thinking of making a trip to India at the end of this month and the way it's looking I'll be there for the finals. I'm confident that we'll find a good spot to enjoy some games with some die-hard fans!

By any means, you should be able to get some nice pics at the pubs in Montreal. I'd love to see what it looks like. I can't wait till it starts!!

Thankfully we in Switzerland don't need to go to Germany to see the teams in action. Tonight we're going to the Spain-Croatia friendly.
