Great delpeoples 2011-12-19 7:01

Hi CaliRay

You lot are big on building these types of iers on your beaches aren't you? This reminds me of the piers of Huntingdon - an absolute bane for a surfer I could imagine. I like the idea of the B&W, I probably would have increased the contrast and black tones a little more, but it could be my monitor on this infernal laptop which tends to make colours look a little washed out. Anyway, nice job, have a good RayDay.

Cheers
Lisa

Red face To delpeoples: Piers, surfers, washout, etc...

Gidday Ozlisa,

You surprised me when you mentioned Huntington Beach Pier, for it was my main surfing beach in my youth. I even "shot the pier' one day, but not on purpose, for heavy surf and a rip tide carried me through the pilings.

For this image, I converted a color digital into "infrared mode" in Photoshop Elements. And I deliberately left the background washed out.

So now, I will have to "Do Overs" and return to San Simeon, for color versions, etc...

Work Hard, Play Hard,
Sincerely,
RAy
