Great ikeharel 2020-04-17 1:25

Bonjour Claude,
It is a nice picture with the green part from the brown trail and the youngster rolling along.
One remark though: when panning a moving object, it is more relevant to lift the shutter speed to 1/800 or higher, on the other hand to lower F number and even more important to disable image-stabilizer. Just my experience from planes pictures.
Sincerely,
Ike

Smile To ikeharel: speed

But at 1/800s you freeze the subject and the background, at a low speed you got stripes on the background giving a sense of movement. OK for disabling the image stabilizer and also the focusing, with a small aperture, everything is sharp within the large DOF.

I understad your point of view for jets in flight.

Thank you for your comment

Default Blurred backdrop

You were right about the blurred backdrop, yet you may try the other way - you would see that main object appear clear and sharp, still the backdrop would offer movement scale, Claude.Best regards,Ike
