Good jwmunro 2006-08-19 11:37

Good morning Cora -

I like this image. The composition is pleasing and the expsoure is right on the money. Well done. But, IMO, the image is way too warm for the subject, this is an off white cow with brown markings. The overly warm image has changed those facts. Also, and the warming is affecting the sky - kind of washing it out. I personally like warm images but this one is a bit too warm, again IMO. I have posted a WS to tone down the warming effect.

Thanks for sharing

Thanks for your comments - I do agree with you that the image is a bit too warm, but then, when I did additional contrast I thought needed (and also when I saw your workshop), it no longer looked like it looked when I was acutally there. So though the added contrast and cooling effect might make the overall image look better, I feel it has lost something since what I saw is this. Funny how nature and light works one way and what our eyes like can be so different from one person to another. I appreciate the post and workshop though - always learning something!
