I think you are braver. I would sooner tackle the nightmarish traffic of Cairo than the crocodile infested rivers of Senegal! I was fishing in Weipa in far north Queensland and a small 1 metre crocodile followed my captured fish in. It was its mother I was worried about though. In the morning we saw a slide mark at low tide of an 18 foot long crocodile, judging by the width. So glad we decided to camp well away from the waters edge & keep a campfire going all night. When I went fishing again I made sure I was throwing the line out over razor sharp oyster shells which would cut any crocs stomach coming towards me. I really hate those creatures!
