thx for the info about filters, I'll check that out no later than today.

About the colors in Charlevoix, J-Cartier Park and Bas St-Laurent Gaspésie, well, it's hard to tell because it depends form year to year. I can say without any mistake that the last of septembre and the first 2 of october are good. Check out cam's shot of last year's autumn:

His best ones are taken in the first of october. Although some trees are still green, others have already begun losing their leaves...I remember him coming about 2 weeks earlier (like september 23-24) and the leaves were still all green.

But to mix it up a little, here is a picture taken september 24th:http://www.trekearth.com/viewphotos.php?l=3&p=389431 . Autumn had already started there (Charlevoix).

To make you feel comfortable, here is a pic from last year on october 21 in Cap Tourmente just southwest of Charlevoix: http://www.pbase.com/zobroc/image/87839295

So, with your dates, I think you are right on. But like I said, it depends from a year to another. Cross your fingers!
Colors come earlier in Charlevoix and J-Cartier Park because it's higher and more northern (colder). Gaspésie and Bic usually come a bit later, so I think it fits pretty well your itinerary.

I hope this helps,

Marc
