I think the sharpness that the camera gives me here, is sufficient. I know that with digital photography you can postprocess your photos so that they look really sharp but to me that remains...

In the meantime, I did add a few words to the picture, hope it helps. I am not quite sure what is going on though, but I think it was just a very tired grandfather and an equally tired grandson.

thanks, it eliminates the graininess but actually I do not really mind a bit of grain on the shot, it makes it come more alive in my mind

i am sure you are right, street surfaces in India are very distracting, in this case, the ground was covered in cow pats!! lol.

I would definitely stay away from the water, eat vegetarian food as much as possible, but other than that...I was in India for 2 months last year, did not take many precautions apart from the above...

thanks Maciek, some of the older portraits might be not so tight because of low quality scan and I do not have time to do a better scan - I have a job to do as well! How are things going in HK?...
