You are a very talented photographer, Subhendu. I like your pictures. They are class apart in terms of aesthetics.
I have seen this view of Mount Neelkantha from Badrinath and you have captured it so beautifully.
    Excellent light management.

A pretty good close-up image of these craggy peaks in Kinnaur, Subhasis.
Still, I would have preferred a mid shot with more of the foreground in view.

Reminds me of Pahalgam meadows and mountains, Goutham. Pretty as a picture :).
Good capture on film and better scan. The colours are rich and natural. The frame is well chosen.
The trees may not be all deodar. At this height, we get Spruce and other tall trees.
    Thanks.

Vertical orientation is fine, but the vista is a bit narrow in the foreground, Soumyajit. A wider foreground with the river a bit off centre would relate the subject with its surroundings more effectively, IMHO.
Also, with your camera settings, you have bargained for some over-exposure on the river and on the distant sky.
Nevertheless, it shows the tumultous Teesta pretty attractively.
    Thanks.

A place worth toiling up to, Soumyajit. How far does a vehicle take you from Gangtok oe wherever? I would like to visit this place.
You have done a good job of capturing the essential beauty of the place. The image is crisp and the lake and the surrounding peaks look beautiful in the bright sunshine.
    Thanks.

You did well to include the smoke within the frame, Michael. It lends the picture some character.
Yes, this is the familiar view of Ama Dablam I had the pleasure of enjoying with my own eyes in 1982, 1985 and 1994. When I was a school teacher, I trekked to the Everest Base Camp/Kala Pathar with my students in those years. I'm sort of crazy about this region and even though I'm 63 years old now, I still want to have another go at it.
Thanks for sending me down the memory lane through this very attractive picture of Ama Dablam. I love this mountain.

    Hi Sreya,
Your message on TN led me to your portfolio here on TE.
Unfortunately, I do not take part on TE anymore. I focus on TN only.
You wanted my views on your Charminar series you created along with some other young people from Hyderabad.
This particular image, as others too have pointed out, is blurred. Apparently, you did this shot in a hurry. My point is: why hurry? After all, this subject is not going anywhere. Moreover, take at least two to three shots of the same subject (choosing different camera settings if you have that option in your P&S camera) to make sure at least one of them is really good and does not make you feel unhappy before posting it on TE.
Out of the remaining shots of Charminar area, I like the close-ups of the minarets. The details of exquisite work done on them are well recorded. Mecca Masjid looks good in the shot where it is isolated from the drab urban surroundings. The hospital picture is the mundane view of an ordinary over-crowded street and the light suggests you took it at a bad time of the day -- mid day or early afternoon. Try next time to shoot the hospital either in the morning or evening when the light is slanted and mellow. Crop off the street scene at the final editing stage.
Hope you did not mind my being frank and candid.

The men seem to be returning from a funeral...sober, subdued..and dressed in white....the women seem full of life by contrast...celebrating a local festival....

Both sides are life- the passing and the living - both go on..:-)

Pity the tiger was on route 5 and we on 3!

    Hi Goldy.
I chanced upon TE today through a reference on TN and was surprised to note that you had written your comment on the last pic I had posted here months ago.
You see, I'm not active on this site any more. Just TN for me.
I have done away with points system here, so you won't find them while I write my appreciation of your picture.
The last I visited the Taj was in 1974.
It still looks good despite reports that it has started showing signs of contamination through pollution.
This is a wonderful frame and I would award you A+++, based on my assessment system as a school teacher :)!
    Thanks and keep posting here.
