    Ciao Caro Silvio,

What a fine composition, the hillside making a diagonal across the pale sky, drawing attention to the buildings and the castle, perched at the summit.
There is a most attractive contrast between the depth of colours in the f/g and those in the b/g, which are much paler. This creates a fine sense of depth.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Gerrit,

Goodbye in a most romantic way, viewing everything by the light of the setting sun.
The features become silhouettes, interesting and recognisable, by contrast, adding to the sense of warmth and beauty of the glowing sky.

    Hello Paul,

What a treat, to visit N.Y. and meet Brenda.
This is a hauntingly beautiful piece of street art, with a quote full of wisdom.
    Thank you for sharing it.
Your w/s are interesting and colourful, too.
THis is so much better, to brighten the streets than have haphazard signatures scrawled everywhere.

    My warm regards,

    Witaj Krzysztof,

You have chosen a good angle on the market square, placing the largest, flag-bearing building, in a strong position.
The colourful buildings create a boundary to the square, containing all the interesting features and figures.

You had a gorgeous day for your visit, the light is bright and colours well saturated.

    My warm regards,

    Ciao Caro Luciano,

I have seen this on TV, you must have loved exploring, I know I would!
The Romans left their legacy far beyond Rome!
What an amazing site and so well conserved, despite its antiquity!
You have not only shown us the state and the extent of the ruins but also, their beautiful setting!

    My warm regards,

    Hello David,

I found it interesting how the New China was what people intended you to see. Developing countries are so proud of their progress where we want to see the 'roots'

It's a delightful shot showing the interaction between parent and child. Gesture is just as important as words, clearly revealed, here, though I'm not sure how much attention is being paid by the child!!
The close crop works really well.

    Hello Gert,

Your reflections are as interesting as your photographs.
You seem to dislike this place as well as the hotel.
Your main photograph shows old, damaged buildings, certainly not prosperous, yet the young girls are wearing modern dress and footwear.
I was surprised by the main street, apart from the building styles, this could have been a street in N.Y. with its plethora of yellow taxis!

I really enjoyed the w/s photo of you and your famous diary!

    Hello Chris,

I found this such an amazing photograph; the idea of an ancient tomb standing upright in the sea and being approached by a man in a canoe!
The tomb appears to be crying out, perhaps because of the indignity of its situation!
A really well composed photograph, sharp and with lovely colour saturation.

    Hello Rob,

Were there times when you felt as if you had drunk a little too much alcohol!
What an exciting building to enjoy, before you even look at the exhibits.

I know so many people who would love to stand and study the prehistoric fossils! My granddaughter is a prime example, she is consumed with such creatures, at the moment. The subject of prehistoric animals grabs the attention of youngsters; I remember my son digging a large hole in our garden, convinced he would find the bones of a huge dinosaur!

I love the contrasts in the light, the flying reptiles appearing like shadow puppets.
The stairwell is just so very difficult to comprehend!!!
You must have loved it here!

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Marius,

There is a similarity between the fountains but this one has the luxury of the these warm colours and the surrounding palms. It is almost as if the fountain has been provided with its own stage setting to charm and invite attention.
It is secluded, discrete! You could imagine being seated here, with a refreshing drink.
Lovely symmetrical composition and rich colours.

    Hello John,

You have given us some very interesting and informative notes.
Who would believe that this was once a swampy area where criminals were cast! I wonder what could be found underneath all these cobbles and fine buildings, if excavated!!!
The soft, autumn light is excellent for photography and you have taken perfect advantage of it.
It's a very engaging, daily life scene, lots of figures to create the calm atmosphere and for us to peruse without fear of embarrassment.
The tall buildings are sharply captured, interesting in their own right and confine interest within their boundary.

    Have a lovely day,
    Bev :-)

    Bonjour Nicolas,

The weather in the mountains is amazing.
I love how the f/g vines are bathed in sunshine and they create the most engaging guide lines towards a completely different environment of seemingly misty lake and protruding mountains.
The chalet adds a most interesting focal point.

    Hello Craig,

Another delightful photograph from this tree farm,
Here, there is greater emphasis on the trees rather than the overall impact of the setting.
The trees stand so tall and straight, like classical pillars of old, carrying a canopy of gold.
You have done well to create an almost symmetrical composition; beautiful and remarkable at the same time.

    Have a lovely day,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Dale,

Dunbar is a very attractive little fishing village. We stayed there for several days earlier this year.
I like how you have managed to place the information board in the f/g and created a natural , diagonal link to the ruined castle, dominating the b/g.
Your photograph has a fine clarity and pleasing colours.
